Fast Moving Type
Step
1
First, we are going to start out in Photoshop. Open a new Document & Create
some type. Crop to just around the type and save the file.

Step
2
Next, we need to rasterize the type so we can use filters on it, to do this
go to Layer -> Rasterize -> Type. Simple.
Step
3
Now, we can apply the Filter. We are going to use motion blur (go figure).
Go to Filter -> Blur -> Motion Blur. Now set the options to Angle =
0 and Distance = 50. You should get something like below. Again save the file
seperately from your other file.

Step
4
We can now move onto Flash. Create a new movie and, first, import your blurred
text file. To do this go to File -> Import, and select the file. Once you've
imported it, move it off to the right of the stage.
Step
5
Now go up to the layer & rename it so you will know what it is. Next,
create a new keyframe at frame 15 or so. You can do this by click on frame
15 and hitting F6 or right-clicking & selecting "Insert Keyframe."
With frame 15 still selected, grab the blurred text graphic & move it
to the left side of the stage, where the text will eventually be seen.
Step
6
Next, lets make the type move. Select frame 1 and right-click. Select "Create
Motion Tween" from the list. Ta da. Your type now moves. But, we are
not done yet. Your layer should be set up like this

Step
7
Create a new layer and name it "text", make sure the first frame
is selected. Now, remember the first file we saved in Photshop? Import it.
Now drag the keyframe (click on frame 1, then click & hold) to frame 15.
Position the type directly over the blurred type. Now drag the "text"
keyframe over one more frame to frame 16. You should have something that look
like below. CLICK HERE
to see the final animation.
